The Bronco Lacrosse team took home the state title in 2001 after a perfect 18-0 season winning not only the state championship but the Western Conference title as well. Led by team captains Ben Brown, Kevin Quinn, and Jay Wolfrgram, the Broncos dominated their opponents throughout the season. With wins over top teams such as New Trier, Glenbrook South, Oak Park, Libertyville, and Loyola, the Broncos coasted into the state tournament with loads of confidence. They used this momentum to defeat Libertyville 14-7 in the semifinal and Loyola in the final 10-6. This will be remembered as one of the better teams in BHS sports history.
